Founder Samantha Gerard started Balencia Lane out of a passion for creating events for her friends and family.

With a background in Fashion Design and Performing Arts, Samantha combined her knowledge of style, colours and textures with strong organisation and choreography skills to create an event style and design business that is continuing to grow rapidly.

Her creative talent and boundless expertise built Balencia Lane it's name and established it within not only New Zealand, but the worldwide styling and event scene.

Proudly owned and operated by Creative Director Chloe Miller, Balencia Lane is based in the beautiful garden city of Christchurch, where Chloe lives with her husband Gavin, twin daughters Florence and Daisy, dog Rupert and cat Paddington.

Chloe is a bubbly, creative type with an eye for detail and a great enthusiasm and passion for event planning, styling and design. With a varied career background in hospitality, fashion, management, insurance, administration, business and events, Chloe combines her experience and knowledge of style, strong organisational skills, love for people and practical know how to create an authentic event style all of her own.

When she's not bringing beautiful plans to life you'll find her outside in the sunshine, sipping on chai lattes, chasing after tiny humans or hosting events of her own.
