Bohemian Sunset - Bridal Editorial captured by Luke Marshall Images

When a lovely friend of mine and very talented Stylist, Lisa from Willow Tree Creative in Brisbane said she was coming home for the Summer we knew we had to work together!
If you havent been before, Nelson is very much a Summer city. Boasting some of the most beautiful beach and rural areas in the counrty. So it was only fitting that we make the most of the stunning natural surroundings.
It was a little stressful putting together a shoot just before Christmas, as most of our items were coming from Califonia and Australia -shipping was so slow that nothing arrived until the DAY of the shoot (except the suitcase load of things Lisa brought with her!). Then also on the morning of the shoot our Stationery designer called in sick with no work to give us, so we called up Alysia from Confetti Memories who was so crazy amazing and put together a little something that afternoon! Next on the list was one of the items did not fit our model and there was nothing in the area that was any way similar. We had only one model for the day at this stage.
Meanwhile after all of the gorgeous gowns, props, stationery and other pretty pieces arrived, we headed out to meet with the crew on the beach. Karens daughter Emily brought her beautiful horse Shiner -who really did steal the show (after a few rather large nervous pre-shoot poops!) And as we had our model Emily Jensen out by the waves for the first take, Michelle our amazing Make-up Artist points out Mollie sitting on a picnic blanket (Karens OTHER daughter! -gosh she has some talented girls!)
We imediatley grabbed Mollie and got her into one of the gowns, popped some metallic Glo Tatts, some gold rings, and a crystal head piece. A tiny bit of makeup applied, then as the lighting just started getting to that magical moment we were ready to go!
Running up and down the beach carrying props from different locations, building teepees, hanging dreamcatchers, and hiding from the Park Ranger. The road to the location we were shooting at closed at 8:30, but the most beaauful sunset happened just on 8:30, so there was no way we were leaving! Mollie was the perfect size to fit our boehmian crochet bikini, and happily put that on and jumped in the waves. Not something Im sure she imagined when she went out to help her Mum for the evening.
So here it is that magic that finally all pieced together, created to showcase our beautiful surroundings and inspire all the wild hearts out there! xx
